Thursday Rules!

Bit late with the updates just now due to me getting back into Lord of the Rings and playing way too much Sivir on League of Legends!

Q: I've taken Target Locks on my 2 Broadsides so they can shoot different things. Whats a Target Priority test?

A: Target Priority checks and tests no longer exist in 5th edition, it was a 4th edition rule. It basically meant that you had to declare targets, and then roll a leadership test. If you passed, you got your targets. If you failed you all shot the nearest target. It was a clunky and silly rule.  In 5th edition you don't bother with that nonsense. You just declare your targets then shoot.

In a 2 unit squad, you only need to give 1 Target Lock (to the upgraded squad leader) both Broadsides don't need one. One thing you need to remember is that you designate targets BEFORE you make any rolls.  - no shooting a Landraider with 1 Broadside and then saying "Ok the other guy will shoot at it too!" This is key for non Tau players, don't let them away with it as they need to learn from mistakes.

I wanted to cover something about jump shoot jump that's been on my mind but I didn't have a rulebook to hand so didn't want to contradict myself. It will be up next week. Will also make sure to add other posts. 2 Thursday posts in a row ain't cool!

Excellent!
By the way, I don't mind two "Thursday Rules!"-posts in a row, as it seems like a nice article series.
