Monday Night Halo Reach

So, every Monday night after wargaming I get stuck into some Halo Reach with Iggy the backstabbing team killer. After playing a few bad games I decided to mess about and change my character colours into a nasty pink and yellow combo, and my avatar into a Unicorn. My team-mates then followed suit and out of nowhere, Team Pwny was born!!

Halo Reach OMG!

Yeah so uh, the Campaign for Reach is pretty awesome in fact it's beyond awesome. It's like playing Halo on a new console/system. The graphics and character models are totally updated and Reach feels like a proper planet.
Multiplayer is a little bit annoying as you can't choose to avoid certain game types, I'll explain why.
You queue for Team Slayer and what then happens is your group of 8 players are offered 1 of 3 random maps (or 3 of the same) and 3 different game types.  (Sword Slayer, Sniper, SWAT, DMR - etc etc) Now the really annoying thing here is that if 4 of the group vote the SWAT game then that's it, you're playing that with no option to leave the group.

Halo 3 at least let you avoid the game types you hated or were not good at. This silly system forces you to play game variants that you're perhaps have no interest in playing. (I f I want to player Counterstrike... Guess what... I'll play Counterstrike!) - It's annoying this is a main map type. I'm more of a run and gun/in your face type player. Ranged shooting is not my strong point and it really pisses me off when I am forced to play a game variant I hate.  On the flip side, the Big Team Battles are fun. I just played 1 flag and 2 flag on Hemorrhage, (Blood Gulch) capping 3 flags myself. (I loooooove flag running and assisting with vehicle driving) fun to do, but each one of them I ran myself via the teleporter then cross field.. Yup you still get groups of idiots who don't know how to support!
