I'll get you next time Yriel...Next time!

Tau va Eldar, 1750. Seize Ground using standard deployments. 4 Objectives placed.

I brought 1705 to allow Iggy to field his 1750 Gaelcon list. It was simply made up with what models I had to hand that were assembled. All I did different from my 1500 list is drop the Pathfinders and the Helios Squad to bring in a Command Fireknive team and a Deathrain team.

I tried to write a report of this but honest so much happened it's really hard to remember! I'll need to take notes next match as to who kills who and what turn.  There was so many counter attacks it was hard to keep up with what unit's died when. Hopefully Iggy might give it a bash.
To draw the game in turn 7 my Firewarriors mounted their Devilfish and it simply few over from the current contested objective to a free one in the middle. It was a very Eldar move and Iggy loved it and cursed it at the same time. I'm frustrated I can't remember a turn by turn account as it was such a great match it deserves a proper write up.

I learned a lot in this match and also used what experience I had from my previous matches.
This was the first time for example I detached Gun Drones. I intended to contest with these and they became an instant threat to Iggy. Such a simple way to get your opponent to shoot something other than your suits haha. Reducing the random factor with WS 4 units and twinlinked Pods really helped make sure my shots count.  I guess 3 Troop transports would be more favorable and flexible. I'll need to see how to work that in.

Gun Drones are the biggest annoyance the Tau can field. Terminators have gotten out of a Land Raider to kill drones. Entire Spaz Marines have spent turns assaulting the plucky frisbees. Always detach them.

Yeah, I love my little frisbees now. It's a free distraction when doing the objective games.

In kill point games though they're a pain in the ass!
