After trying and failing with Mspaint, i downloaded a program called GIMP which reminded me a lot of photoshop. I had photoshop on my desktop for a while (a good 3 years ago :S) and the most I ever used it for was to make the occasional forum sig. I worked out quick enough how to make the background transparent so after that it was just trial and error to get the size right so it didn't clip the header bar or the posting box. All in all i'm quite chuffed with myself.

That's looking pretty damn sweet!!! I really need to pull my finger out and get a decent title banner knocked together for my blog but I've got my hands full paining Blood Angels at the mo so it's another project to add to the back burner lol
Well done with yours, it really compliments the overall look of the site.
