World of Warcraft

My World of Warcraft addiction if you like, started off with me innocently playing Diablo 2. I used to play that game a crap load with my friend when they suggested one day we try Guild Wars as was a new free to play game. Not long after that he suggested World of Warcraft as a step up, and so the biggest change in my life came about.

I started out as a Human Paladin (thinking it would be like Diablo 2)rising to the dizzying height of level 12, before switching to a Dwarf Warrior who got to 20 without being able to switch stances. (I honestly only ever used the default 10 buttons) When I was stuck on a quest my mate turned up with his hunter and kicked the crap out of everything.I was amazed and totally sold. The next day I rolled my own Dwarf hunter, got a pretty cat called Echeyakee by begging a Horde to let me tame their quest mob, and eventually got him to level 55.

I hung about on a PvE server and then after a disagreement with my mate I switched to a PvP server where I rolled a new Night Elf Hunter. I leveled to the then level cap of 60 and found myself leading somehow as Guild Leader of a guild called the "Angry Aces" We cleared out Zul'Gurub, Molten Core, AQ 20 and got to Nefarion in Blackwing Lair. The website I used to maintain still has a list of all the boss kills. We were pretty relentless once we got going and downed a fair whack of bosses in a short time.
After a while in the new expansion I stepped down as Guild Leader as I wanted to relax a bit. We went on to Burning Crusade and cleared out Karazhan, Magtheridon, Gruul, Tempest Keep, Serpent Shrine Cavern and were working on Black Temple before the big boss nerf.

Due to my new job I had to eventually leave the guild as my shifts didn't allow me to raid anymore. I'm now in a new guild focusing on the 10 man stuff and enjoying shooting the hell out of things with the same Hunter I rolled all those years ago when I moved to a PvP server. Due to the new race change service I was able to turn my Nelf into the Dwarf he always should have been :)

My future WoW time will be spent doing daily quests and random dungeons with my Hunter along with any ICC raids I can get into. Time will also be slpit on leveling up my 70 Ret Pally, picking up healing gear along the way. Once Cataclysm drops, i'll also then be leveling a Worgen Warrior.
