Whilst browsing some blogs early this morning it appears that GW have updated our FAQ slightly to cover some small issues. On checking this out for myself it was actually updated a month ago on the 10th March 2011.
The first report I read was from the 19th legion Then I noticed that it was being discussed on Advanced Tau Tactica. Reading into the changes I end up with a big fat cheesy grin on my face. My first ever Thursday Rules! post is clarified with an update similar to what I suggested. "Page 26 – Multi-tracker - Change the last sentence to ʻIt enables the model to fire two weapons in the same turn."
The rules regarding gun drones on vehicles and kill point allocations are cleared up also.
Q: What happens to the gun drones on a vehicle if the vehicle is destroyed? (p30)
A: The gun drones will be destroyed along with the vehicle. Note that they do not give away an additional kill point as they have not been detached from the vehicle.

Q: Are gun drones that have been detached from a vehicle able to contest objectives and do they give away kill points? (p30)
A: Yes to both questions.
A: Yes to both questions.
In short, deployed gun drones become a unit, give up a kill point if they die and can contest objectives. Gun drones still attached to your Devilfish die with the Devilfish and DO NOT give up an extra kill point.
Sweet little flexibility bonus for the frisbees as you can contest in objective games and then not worry about an easy extra point or two when your Devilfish dies in kill point games.

Thanks for posting, as I'd completely missed the update.
It gives a big boost to the mid range devilfish of multi-tracker and decoy launchers, as it can move 12" and fire more shots than the fully upgrades devilfish, and now doesn't have to worry about extra kill points.

HOLY!!!!
Some of those questions were almost identical to the ones I sent to Jervis over a year ago...man it takes a while to process them.
Yeah OSH, I remember you asking for questions on ATT and also your blog. It's nice to see that they're picking up on the wording of some bits of the codex to prevent silly little nitpicking from other players.
Was happy to see the update about target priority too (quite simply there is none, ignore all references to it) as that left a sore spot with me when I saw it being discussed on ATT and people seemed to be disagreeing for the sake of having a discussion.
Thank goodness!
The clarifications are much needed, and I wish I had know about the changes last week at the Tournament!
