[Tau] Tactics against Necrons?

Monday I'm playing a 1500 points game against Necrons. I can barely remember fighting these guys when I used to play Imperial Fist. My army list in included after the break, any tactics for how to deal with these tin cans is much appreciated.

Here is the list I'll be using:

Shas'el Fireknife config with Multi Tracker & HW drone controller - 2 Shield Drones
Shas'ui Crisis Suit team - 2 x Fireknife config with Multi Tracker
Shas'ui Crisis Suit team - 3 x Fireknife config with Multi Tracker
Shas'ui Crisis Suit team - 3x Deathrain config with Target Array
10 x Kroot
10 x Kroot
6 x Firewarrior
5 x Pathfinder - Devilfish Transport with SMS, Disruption Pods, Multi Tracker, Target Array
Hammerhead - Railgun, Burst Cannons, Disruption Pods, Multi Tracker
Hammerhead - Railgun, Burst Cannons, Disruption Pods, Multi Tracker
Shas'ui Broadside Team, 2x Advanced Stabilized Systems. Team Lead with drone controller & 2 Shield Drones. Target Lock

I'm guessing I need to just target the destroyers first along with the lords and then just focus on a squad at a time?

I don't play against Necrons so I can only say remember phase-out. It doesn't matter about the big killy stuff, if the warriors die they all do.

Just go for the phase out. It's funny, most armies, when facing necrons push the assault and wipe out Necrons with close-combat. Because Tau lack a strong close combat element, necrons can actually be tough for us. I'd say just focus on the warriors and cause as much damage as you can. If there's a monolith, take that out early so you can prevent him from porting units through and re-rolling failed WBBs. then work to cause as much damage as possible. You've got enough plasma and rail gun submunitions to wipe out whole squads every turn. Just set up your kroot wall and start blazing away.

Be sure you understand We'll Be Back. Read the book and understand how it works, what bypasses it, and what things (like Res orb, tomb spyder, monolith) can boost it. If you can't read the book before hand, have your opponent explain it to you before you start, including the boosts if he has them in his army.

Work on killing whole units at a time, and if you can kill a whole unit while it's isolated, even better. Things like tank shocks to push units out of range from WBB boosters can be very helpful.
